I am a Japanese-American Bilingual Statistician, Data Scientist and Software Engineer. With a background in consulting, project management, academic research, and organizational leadership, I am an adaptable and versatile asset to any team.
Currently, I am interested in examining behaviors of financial markets via time series analysis and machine learning. I am looking for positions with client-facing responsibilities as well, where I can continue to hone my technical skills while getting to do what I love most: helping people find solutions.

Experience

Statistical & Data Analyst/Consultant
  • Measured carbon offsets by applying Traveling Salesman & Dijkstra’s Algorithm with multiple regression techniques on raw data from annual compost, paper, plastic, and trash collection by bike for client’s 1,027 and growing customers
  • Elected project manager for Sprint 3 of 4; met biweekly with client to discuss statistical methodology and consult sanitation professionals, met weekly in project team to delegate research, modeling/coding, and client communication
  • Connected results to unique customer profiles on our client’s website using API, delivered a final presentation on our process and project timeline, published an open code Github repository for public use and future calculator iterations
January 2026 - May 2026 | Northampton, Massachusetts
Statistical & Data Analyst/Consultant
  • Designed and successfully pitched an IP geolocation pipeline to head researchers Prof. Shinyoung Cho and Arani Bhattacharya, achieving 70.3% accuracy at city level while reducing computational costs from 795 pairwise global anchor measurements to 83 with efficient probe selection; paper submitted to 2026 Internet Measurement Conference
  • Calculated behaviors of calibration rate stability for all 795 RIPE Atlas anchors through white noise and stationarity tests, On Line Change Point Analysis, and iterative Moving Average smoothing in R to identify the rate at which calibration rates should be retrieved from RIPE Atlas for consistent, high quality input data for the geolocation pipeline
Sep 2024 - May 2026 | Northampton, Massachusetts
Summer Intern & LEAD Corps
  • Restructured and designed the Elevate Your Activism resource into a website internally available to 3,000+ students, staff, and faculty, using Canva, Mural, and Google Sites, directly recognized by College President and VP of OEI
  • Dedicated 10 hr/week to design, curate, and deliver 35+ workshops, trainings, and consulting projects for student organizations, clubs, capstone classes, sports teams, faculty groups, and staff on conflict resolution and DEI topics
May 2024 - May 2026 | Northampton, Massachusetts
Teaching Assistant & Grader for SDS 293: Machine Learning (ML)
  • Graded, corrected, & returned feedback to 19 students on each of their 31 total labs, quizzes, problem sets; 10hr/week
  • Reported pedagogical input at weekly meetings with Prof. Albert Kim to accommodate a new unit on neural networks

Projects

Landmark Selection Report Preview

2026

Carbon Emissions Calculator ⌄

Open Code Carbon Calculator, originally developed for Pedal People Co-op in Northampton, MA. Our team's final presentation is available below.

PM 2.5 Concentrations during COVID-19 ⌄

A time series analysis of PM 2.5 concentrations before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic with respect to the concentration of traffic and urban activity in Massachusetts.

2025

Landmark Selection for RIPE Atlas Anchors in Active IP-Geolocation ⌄

An exploration of landmark selection for RIPE Atlas anchors in active IP-geolocation, methodology in three reports: anchor_exclusion_inclusion.pdf, updated_calibration_2426.pdf, and calibration_report_final.pdf.

Environmental Poverty Model ⌄

This study used Multiple Logistic Regression and Machine Learning techniques to predict Low and High Income ZIP Codes from Bacteria and Metal Contamination Data in Austin, Texas Watersheds.

Client-VPN-Server Simulation ⌄

A simulation of a client-VPN-server network using python, in the setting of an Ice Cream Shop with commandline input.

2024

PVTA Navigation ⌄

A navigation application designed for the PVTA public transportation system, using Dijkstra's algorithm and a graph of the bus routes programmed in java. There is no visual interface quite yet, but it is in the works!

HIV Prevention Techniques in Botswana ⌄

A case study examining the efficacy of the 2013 to 2018 "Botswana Combination Prevention Project (BCPP)"" community based HIV prevention approach in Botswana.

American Wage Discrimination (1988) ⌄

A case study examining wage discrimination against Black men in the United States in 1988, using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau’s monthly Current Population Survey (CPS). Specifically, this study uses multiple regression modeling to analyze whether the racial wage gap between Black and white male workers, as measured in weekly wages, is dependent on the region of the country they indicated.

Mistaken Votes in the 2000 Presidential Election ⌄

An analysis of the Butterfly Ballot and mistaken votes in the 2000 Presidential Election through linear regression modeling.

Texting Style Response ⌄

This study aimed to investigate how texting style and tone in online dating app messages influenced individuals’ willingness to connect through an anonymous Qualtrics survey.

Meditation App Icons ⌄

This study analyzes the impact of the appearance of meditation app icons on individuals’ likeliness of using the app, by comparing individuals’ likeliness of use ratings with an anonymous Qualtrics survey for three meditation apps–Calm, Headspace, and Healthy Mind.

Maternal Smoking & Infant Health ⌄

A case study on maternal smoking status and infant health. By using The Maternal Smoking and Infant Health data set collected from the larger 1960 to 1967 Child Health and Development Studies study, we examine whether mean infant weight is dependent on the number of years since the mother quit smoking.
